  You guys failed to see the point “loveability”. Sure Tatsuhiro Satou or Kaoru Yamazaki from NHK are NEET and otaku respectively but they are certainly not that loveable. Daru on the other hand is revered as a role model otaku. As previously mentioned, he can build a time machine and got himself a busty loli wife. He deserves mad respect. He is the pinnacle that all Otaku wants to reach. (the very reason I even went into software engineering in the first place)

  Genshiken is the happy otaku group/circle that does happy things about otaku stuff. Welcome to the NHK is the depressing side of the fence, with the NEETs, hikikomori, otaku and the dame-ningen. the life style in which they live. And in some way bits and pieces can be related to the average otaku in real life, except none have a misaki to consul them.

  This does happen a lot when a game is developed initially for one console and then ported to another. Say what you will about Microsoft but one thing they get right is there support for their developers. They made it easier to make games on their system.
