Comment on Hollywood Plots Kite Rape by Anonymous:

I think that’s intentional. Kite always had something of a niche audience, so they’re not targeting fans of Kite so much as fans of action films in general. With a relatively obscure property, they can get the rights to produce a film relatively inexpensively, and don’t have to worry about meeting the expectations of an active fan-base.

Besides, Kite has an interesting story and premise that probably should get more recognition. I’m sure they’ll tone down a lot of its content, but hopefully that won’t mean “PG-13″ toned down.

    I loved Girls High :)

They should have picked Mezzo Forte instead of Kite. They should also have learned that there is a sequel to this called Kite Liberator, before doing a movie.

They already made that movie. It was called La Femme Nikita. See also, every other movie Luc Besson has made. Except The Fifth Element. That’s its own brand of weirdness.

Film won’t get made. Most anime adaptions (Death Note, Akira, etc) never get past the pre-production stage. Doubt this will either
