Ending like that reduce this anime from great to just average. They should watch and learn from dragon ball. Don’t kill character for convenient.

Here’s an “oldie” for those that can remember it. :P Shigurui: Death Frenzy Ok, you set up the fight between two bitter rivals, you then explore how they got to that stage. From Rival 1′s arrival to the dojo (stuff inbetween) to Rival 1 killing the Sensei of Rival 2. Then the series is over. No explanation as to how Rival 2 lost his arm. No resolution on their fight, just a note in the first episode that 22 Samurai participated in the tournament, that 8 were killed by their opponent and 6 …

The Ga-Rei Zero series was meant more to set-up the world in which the manga would be playing. So in that regard the transition/ending makes sense. Gotta agree with The Blacksmith one, but even the manga itself still has a long way to go, before everything gets resolved. Could’ve been a similar situation as with HSotD, I guess.

HotD pretty much ran out of source material to animate, and rather than do some filler episodes which might conflict with the ongoing plotline, they pretty much decided to have it halt at the Mall. Which would be the next story-arc if you want to call it that, considering it has some pretty decent character impact on the group. Main prob is, the mangaka behind it, is pretty slow with his work, so it’s going to be a while, before there’s enough for a second season, essentially.

yaoi= gay romance between two males shota= gay romance with underage boys this episode= kyoani showing fangirls that this character is prime husbando material because look how good he is with kids, and he is a calm and sensible swimming teacher. Note how nothing in ‘this episode’ has anything to do with yaoi or shota. Kyoani know exactly what they’re doing, its the same thing they do with their female characters. They want to market them to their audience as waifus. They’re doing the same with …

How exactly did they make things worse for themselves? Free! has sold far better than any other of their recent shows. Not as well as K-ON, but its definitely a contender. You guys (or at least, those that like KyoAni’s moe shows) should be glad about Free even if you don’t like it – its going to be funding their moeblob shows for years to come. They’ve got Amagi Brilliant Park next season which looks more like their usual stuff, too. It was Tamako Market that was probably their biggest flop. I …
