I seriously do think that Idolmaster will be one of the more underestimated animes for this season.
The girls look really good with those swimsuits on.
IdolMaster would be 1000000x better without Jupiter.
Some dream paradise (every luscious girl in the Imas cast) has to be balanced out somehow.
I can't understand why it's underrated in the first place. But then again I haven't played the game nor listened to the dramas and read their background archives.
Because it has as much substance as bimbos from a miss's of real life beauty contest?
Shallow stuff even in anime doesn't need to be esteemed and praised, unless of course, you like doing it because ur afraid of being labeled a "hater" for not going trendy on one of the latest anime. Well you may be "trendy" and "Not a hater", but you sure would be gullible and hypocrite.
Actually...for a slice of life on young japanese idols - it's actually depicting it in a very even handed way. Not all animes should about va va vooms or T and A's...although I guess with this latest episode, it's sorta starting to lead in that direction. And before you critizie on being a hater or w/e...ask yourself this - if YOU were maker of the Idolmaster anime, how would you handle it? N.B: I like it for what it is. You like/hate it for what it is. Do we essentially need that kind of insensitive commentary? Being young does not mean you have to be abrasive. Such is the time we live in these rampant internet times I guess...
I can understand why people don't like pop idols or gravure icons and stuff like that.
But it's a nice, cute anime and it's a light watch. I don't see the wrong in it. Plus, it seems people often forget that just being an idol or being a model doesn't automatically dehumanize them.
And really? Being a hater or not is just overthinking it. If you don't like it and don't watch, you have very little objective opinions about it. It's just very, very subjective to the point of bias.
On the reverse side of the argument you want to be appear "edgy" or "sophisticated" so you hate it.
That's because it's just another random moeblob anime with no story and if you expect something else you will be disappointed

Sounds good to me. I have the Idolm@ster SP Perfect Sun game which has Yayoi, Haruka, and Makoto. For me, it's hard hard to choose between Yayoi and Haruka. I love them both. :)

For a slice of life anime it does get a little taxing, but in a series where the characters are usually fighting, it's nice to see them have some time to relax and develop.
