As far as I’m concerned, anyone who mentions Pearl Harbor as some retort against Japan instantaneously proved how unconscious and stupid they are.

Frankly I’m glad for the Pearl Harbor repetition, because it acts as a beacon for detecting stupid people. Would make life so much easier if people like that could walk around wearing an “I’m with stupid” T-shirt with the arrow pointing up.

@ Anon 17:29 I’ve never understood why German singing only sounds halfway decent to me with its techno rap. I haven’t heard any other lyrical song in German that works for me. What does that mean to the game exactly? What are you expecting exactly? There …

I was told by a friend he didn’t like it because they basically screwed all the time and wanted more of a story to it. Based on that part of my thinks a censored version may be more nominal, and yet simultaneously I’m against cutting down on anything when the original was how they wanted it. Sadly this makes me even more curious.

The loss of sales you are referring to is not because of the nature of their games or a loss in fanbase based on their actions alone. FF7 was an alignment of elements in gaming history that changed the world, not just the industry. The story and characters were not THAT amazing, however the delivery was completely solid enough to be beyond everyone’s expectations, even after FF6 pretty much set the bar for the ability to make a truly dark plot. What has changed is expectation and generations. …
