I don’t buy this. I don’t buy that wrong (not bad) looking actors must be awesome and that no fitting actor could act. I don’t buy that changing everything is the true path of genius and that following the source material is “succumbing to the fans”. If you have a good story just make that story. If you have to buy the rights to adapt a light novel you don’t have an original idea. If you then change everything about it then you weren’t trying to make an adaptation, just a cash grab.
