I expected when I clicked here that a collector actually stripped her of her shirt because he was a freakishly obsessed fan. But after reading the original source, the story is really nothing more than two punks picking on a girl who so happened to be wearing a pokemon shirt.

1) I'm pretty sure the little girl didn't say, "Ok, cut off my shirt, I won't resist."

2) She more than likely resisted, thus a struggle ensues between the man and little girl over the shirt with the man attempting to cut it off while it is still on her (obviously cutting requires a sharp object pointing at the girl).

3) He more than likely restrained her in order to obtain a piece of the shirt.

As clearly shown, yes, this is assault + sexual harassment, but assault nonetheless since his motive and action was quite violent and aggressive.

You sir, have a fucked up interpretation of what is not violent.

Not that such a stupid prank could traumatize anyone by itself. Kid is far more likely to end up traumatized after a bunch of "oh-so-holy" adults repeatedly tell her she should feel very bad and traumatized about the event which inevitably happens when the words "child abuse" start to fly around.
