Yeah you're right but what I really didn't like about that gun was what Lala originally intended with it. I mean this Riko persona with Rito's best friend in love with the girl Rito was just not right, it can actually be viewed as a cruel prank by leading him on like that, and knowing the author, when they finally reveal that Riko was never a girl to begin with, he probably will do something stupid like insist that Rito make it permanant. Thats why I think Lala is an idiot for making that gun.
Lala uses the gun on herself and Rito and then the manga becomes shoujo smut and she rapes him into loving it. Then she'll either rape the other candidates into submission or the gun haywires and turns the girls into male and they have their turn at him. Cue waffling.
