Maybe it’s just me, but the list IS the “move to tears” list. Maybe that means something a bit different than just “sad.”
Some action series with no actual sad scenes make me cry simply because the main character is a genius and sticks to his ideals better than I’d expect.

Madoka, for me, was SORTA like that. It was definitely moving and jaw-dropping, even if I didn’t actually cry until the 10th episode…

  Clannad had one scene i cried to, otherwise nothing. Most overrated anime in history maybe. I can’t believe Saikano isn’t in there!!

  of course CLANNAD saddest anime, i cant believe ef a tale of melodies isnt in the list but both of them are the saddest animes i ever watched and the most beautiful ones i will tried some of the list just to see why the hell is clannad second and not first and why dosnt ef appear… and also toradora rocks but its not that sad its happier
