Comment on Why The Chinese Hate Japanese Anime by TC-man:

I don’t know, but these 3000 people must live in a cave, I am pretty much sure the new generation Chinese love Japanese culture including manga and anime.

Also the poll could have been more specific, for example sexual depiction, they could have split it into “yaoi/shounen-ai”, “yuri/shoujo-ai”, “normal” etc.. Personally, I don’t mind shoujo-ai, but for me yaoi is absolutely a no-go.

Unicef Japan would also hate that, I guess, right?

    You mean the younger generations?

Wait, the Americans didn’t copy “Kimba, the White Lion” from the Japanese to make “the Lion King”?

I have been in Hong Kong, you can literally buy every anime series that’s ever released. And all the kids shows consists of anime series, well, for a quite long time, in those 25-30+ years (if I am right). From Dr. Slump, Daraemon, Dragonball, to Gundam, Macross, Sailor Moon and many thousands more which were never released here in the west. Who’s loving more anime (and manga) now?

So you dislike City Hunter since Kaori is quite “violent” with her megaton hammer, but Ryo couldn’t stop with his “mokkori”. Great anime from the old times, by the way. And it’s okay to beat/hit a female by a male character? This would be a good reason for me to skip these kind of anime where women and girls are treated as trash. I just like anime series with a happy story, although I don’t mind a bittersweet “bad ending”.
