If they want to air anime uncut in Japan, then they need to create a premium channel like HBO. They wouldn't have to worry about censorship and they wouldn't have to worry about commercials, because they would be funded by subscription fees. That's why HBO is able to air such awesome shows and not have to worry about the FCC.
If there was an HBO for anime in Japan, then censorship wouldn't be an issue. Of course, they have to use the 1983 intro before every show...

This airs on a premium channel (AT-X) and it is also censored, so it's not the stations doing the censorship.
I just checked out the ATX version and found that out. I wish people would boycott these companies for this kind of crap. I would never buy something from a company that uses censorship to boost sales. I can understand the show being censored on broadcast stations since the station requires them to censor it but censoring on a premium station that doesn't require censorship (especially to the extent that was in this episode) is bs.
I stopped watching the episode when it got to the several minutes of cut scenes. I deleted my episodes and won't be continueing to watch the show.
