One thing I always found funny: I heard the term ‘stuck it in the wrong hole’ several times when I was in high school, but it turned out I understood it wrong. When I was really young and started asking where babies came from, my mother was actually a good parent and sat me down and explained the anatomy of it all. So I knew of the urethra, vaginal opening and anus being in close proximity already, but somehow when I heard the ‘wrong hole’ statement later in life, I heard it as meaning there was actually a third opening in the vagina. I believed everyone else knew the same information I did, so I was confused as hell.

I ended up asking my mother (medical professional, so it wasn’t as awkward as it may otherwise have been) one day as a teenager what it meant, and she explained. And I was like ‘Wait… they actually mistook the anus for the vagina…? Seriously? Well I’m ahead of the curve I guess.’
