What you say is certainly true for any “normal” male in Japan, but teachers are special. I dare you to show me even one case where a Japanese teacher was being convicted of sexually assaulting one of their students, and there’s no shortage of such incidents either. (I’m sure a handful of convictions must have happened in the past decades, but they’re so rare I didn’t manage to find one even though I was actively looking for it). This goes for both male and female teachers of course, but male teachers normally don’t even get fired.

Oh and btw, Japan doesn’t have a sex offenders list (not that this is a bad thing).
