    Hmm... a lot of it seems to be these pictures. They're taking dynamic pictures of a dynamic pose. I think that's a method of incidentally opening up new dimensions... either way, it seems to be an illusion caused by her coat tails that make it look like she's rotated 90 degrees at the waist. Based on the folds in the shirt and the skirt underneath the coat tails, it's probably not as bad as it seems.

    :/ I really dislike this Miku figure so it's kind of annoying to see people saying its the greatest just because you can see her underwear. THAT POSE, it makes me cringe just to look at it. Owowowowow.
    That and I'm not fond of her face, and the colours look flat and blocky to me.
    Goodsmile and Volks's other Miku figure are far superior. Even as a diehard Miku fan that tries to own all the Miku figure incarnations, I skipped this one.

    I'm still kind of confused why there are still no figures (outside garage kits) where she has shimapan though...

    wow, why does nobody realize that its based off of art that captures her while she's in motion?! She's not actively "striking a pose" at all, she's DANCING!

    It's easy enough to tell, honestly. I'm very disappointed.

    I know she's based off an artwork, that doesn't magically make it good. I don't like the artwork either The pose is terrible in the artwork too but everyone just chooses to ignore it because "OMG TONY".

    And Lat has shimapan? It just grew a little in appeal points for me...

    try bending your spine like that while doing a dance move that you make up. I already did. it does bend that way. In fact, you can hit something to your right with your left hand around your back in the same fashion as this figure.

    What's more is when you're in motion, you can actually achieve a few more degrees of motion from your spine that you couldn't achieve otherwise. It's the same concept you get when you kick really high, but can't just use your arm to consciously stretch it up that way.

    What may give the illusion of it bending wrong is where her coat tails rest, but when you actually look at her spine, that's well within our range.

    I happen to like poses like this, because they're very dynamic and lively, but it's fine if you don't.

    Being in mid-action is no excuse for someone to be anatomically incorrect. Even if it were, it looks incredibly awkward. It'd be like if you had a figure based on a derpy in-between frame. The fact that so many people can overlook the glaring anatomical errors just because a certain person drew it makes me facepalm as somebody who is making an effort to study anatomy and how it should look for my drawings.
    The sad thing is this isn't the first time a Tony picture has had anatomical errors...it's almost like his trademark.

    I'm not sure how I'm excusing anything just because it's been drawn by anyone. I'm not sure who that's directed towards, but if it's directed towards me, then that's a strawman.

    Anyway, you keep saying "anatomically incorrect", but you don't explain where you think this anatomically incorrectness is.

    Spines do NOT bend that way, neither do hips. It makes her look like her hips are broken.
    But even without that, I'm just not a fan of the look of the figure. Something about the way it's coloured seems flat and even 'cheap' to previous Miku figures.
    In the promo of this figure, her hair was different - more transparent at the tips and a more pleasing colour shade, but now they've changed it to a more solid, tackier and bluer shade.
    The actual movement in her hair still looks good, it just looks pretty disappointing compared to the promo which, aside from the awful posing/actionshot/whatever you want to call it, actually didnt look too bad.

    Thank god. Someone finally gets it. I looked at it for less then 2 seconds and i cold tell whats going on, just look at the way the feet are placed and the way the hair is. For Christ's sake people use some damn common sense.
