They will simply not buy it if it doesn’t suit their tastes and the only ones crying will be the author.

Hint: There’s a reason why the K-ON author decided to restart K-ON. It’s called money – not because he wanted to create something. Of course he’s going to give the fans what they want.

And the only reason shit like K-ON! and Lucky Star is so popular is because of the all female cast doing stupid mundane things as a plot. That’s what people read/watch it for.

If they wanted a romantic harem comedy, they can read one of the hundred “Mysterious magic girlfriend lives with protagonist” stories.
