Nothing is future proof. If you mean you could buy a PC with that 900 USD and that it will last 6 – 7 years including some serious gaming (if it’s still not broken)? No, it’s not possible, computer technology is constantly evolving, especially in a period of 6 – 7 years. In that kind of time(frame) there are already 2 or 3 generations processor (including motherboard) coming out, just like last time, Intel Core2, Nehalem, and now Sandy Bridge (AMD: Athlon64, Phenom, Phenom II). But I admit with that kind of money you can buy really nice things.
