Not very good at drawing? He's pretty damn good. And I like him even more because he likes eating and sleeping.
Maybe he was disatisfied with how his work seems to be a bit scetchy and uncleaned. Though, I kinda like it like that.
Btw the last image was the best.
I too like the way it appears that someone actually drew it. Has that pastel-pencil/brush look that's nicely not so refined.
The best part of art is that its appreciation is entirely subjective. It makes it possible to be enjoyed even if the artist is unsure.
Now I know who is responsible for that beautiful Chelsea from Phantasy Star Portable 2 illustration.

Wow that's a terrible comparison my friend. Your comparing something like an artist to a person with no hands. At least deviantartist can attempt to "draw".
Deviantart anime artist mostly draw Naruto and Bleach or get a screencap and edit it to their own liking and calling it their original character. Although Humio does draw Bleach characters, I can definitely see the hard work and passion to become a casual artist.
Deviantart has a strict policy on screencaps and even have several groups to find and ban the users of them. Deviantart can be shitty, don't get me wrong, but comparing any group by it's most crappy and criminal behavior is stupid. Just imagine what we would say of Japan if we only looked at it's government!

Well, faces are very beautiful, and hair styles excellent! Despite most of his works are not finished to clean lines and HQ colors, this is magnificent stuff!
He probably has too many ideas, and draws too many pictures, after that he does not have enough time left to finish them the way this art clearly deserves.
Please, stop discussing gaijin "artists" in this context, even Nel (pic 78) is getting heartache of hearing & reading of those.

There's definitely some problems with arm and hand sizes, but that hasn't stopped me from saving several of these. The Samus picture is totally bad ass.
He's got talent alright. And did Mario had some testosterone overdose or something? Because that's the spiting image of what gar stands for.

I like what i see. So, that means he's very good. I would think that humility is not the best asset on the battlefield that is called illustration artistry.
It's not a good way to promote yourself, true.. But neither will he become one of those artists that stops improving after getting to fixated on his own awesomeness. =)
I think the humility is just a Japanese thing, even if they're gods in their field the Japanese still say "I suck at it."

In some of his draws, the humoungous-size boobs actualy tend to cause a reverse effect than the turn-on.
However, most fit the characters simply perfectly.
The ones in which we have the 'normal' size chest (or even the flat-chest ones) his skill is clearly obvious.
Indeed a very good artist, and I'll probably look into his homepage to check on his future works every so often.
