The $5 Pillow (Made in China)

made-in-china-pillow-surprise-1_0.jpg

Even Chinese were surprised at the rather disturbing contents of a too cheap for comfort made in China pillow.

The object above is apparently an empty cigarette packet – fortunately, sewage is just too valuable to find its way into a mere pillow.

A made in China punching bag offers quality along similar lines – why use sand when you can use rubbish?

At least the items did not explode.

    not exactly.just think. if china made a hug pillow this way and print ishihara's figure on it, it would be identical to the real thing.

    Yeah, but instead of using it as a hugging pillow, people would no doubt use it as a punching bag!

    how stupid does one have to be believe this garbage? this story is total nonsense, no one would be that stupid to buy a pillow like that and not realize its true contents. typical internet myth rubbish... literally.

    @anon 09:46:

    "How did i know? Well, if their country was so great why would you often find so many ... scattered all over the world like garbage"

    There are 1,300,000,000 people in China and roughly 40,000,000 Chinese diaspora around the world. That works out to about 1 in 33 people from China living abroad. For scale, compare that to the diaspora from the UK, where 1 in 11 people live abroad, or better yet, compare the numbers to Ireland, where 13 in 14 people live abroad (not a typo).

    The difference between China's diaspora and other groups is mainly due to the fact that their population is so enormous that even a small fraction of their people living elsewhere (like 3 in 100) results in a population two thirds the size of the UK spread out around the world.
