The Scriptwriter is important, very important as a matter of fact, but so is the Director, as they oversee the whole process and and make the final decision on what makes it in to the Anime or not. So in that case, Akiyuki Shinbou deserves just as much thanks. And since SHAFT wouldn’t be what it is today without Shinbou, SHAFT (and specifically Shinbou) deserves as much thanks as Gen Urobuchi.

- Madoka Fans Even More Shocked Than Before:
Another fantastic episode. Truly a fantastic Anime, Beautiful to look at, great plot, and thrilling action scenes. However, to those using this show as an excuse to bash Moe, a few words. First, if you think that this show is Moe-free, you are out of your mind. The character designs and their traits are impossible to ignore. They have the cuteness covered, they have the “urge to protect” covered thanks to the ghastly things that happen to these Magical Girl zombies, and almost any other draw of …

Well fansubbers claim that this show is a nightmare to sub, which I can see as it is very based in wordplay jokes and cultural satire. But hey, at least in ep.9 I was able to tell that they got in a joke at the Sea Shepherd’s expense, so I am a happy man.

- Tokyo MX: “Our AKB48 Anime Was Shameful”:
I don’t give a damn what they have to say about AKB0048. Anime is first and foremost, entertainment. You are free to acomplish other things along the way, ask the big questions, explore the human condition and all those deep things we all ponder at some point along with making something entertaining. However if you make an Anime, or any form of fiction, that just does those things whilst forgetting to entertain, you have inexorably lost your way and have forgotten the basic foundation of …
- Little Busters = JC Staff: “All Otaku Have Been Betrayed!”:
Ugh….. Why JC Staff? It’s not like they are totally unable to produce great shows, and it’s not as if they are a horrible studio, but they are wildly inconsistent. You never know if you’re gonna get the next Railgun or the next Hidan no Aria with them. The quality of their work varies wildly, and it fluctuates a little too often for me to put any large deal of trust in them. However, even at their best, JC Staff are still nowhere near as good as KyoAni when it comes to Animation. Really only …
- Little Busters Anime Announced – “Finally!”:
I say that the only thing that KyoAni needed to redeem themselves for was Endless Eight. And the more than redeemed themselves in my eyes with the Disappearance movie, which was truly world class (in my opinion). The K-ON!! second season, Nichijou and Disappearance showed that they are capable of fantastic Animation and not wildly going off the handle like with E8. What’s to be made up for with K-ON? What were you expecting out of a Slice of Life Anime? The whole of the series, but the second …
