I’m not muslim or pretend to understand it, however I would not just label them as “being jealous” because they don’t have a gf… that sounds beyond petty and I’m surprised someone would even come to that conclusion.

You could say that they hold the sacredness of the body to the extremes(of course its extreme since its a religion)

  just my opinion as a person livin in malaysia, and as a muslim myself. first, Islam forbid their followers to celebrate Valentine. I found nothing wrong with that but yeah, minority of muslims teenagers tend to celebrate it anyway. second. Islam didn’t forbid their unmarried couple to express their love, as long as it is on the right+limited amount. Still, no pre-marriage sex. It never hurt to give out presents/chocolate all year round except for Valentine purposes.
