To me this sounds like someone doesn’t have a girlfriend of some sort to be with that day.

Pretty much it sounds like a person that’s single wants to make eveyone feel miserable on that day no matter what.

Besides I thought this holiday was sold to coprerations to gain money from couples somehow.

  just my opinion as a person livin in malaysia, and as a muslim myself. first, Islam forbid their followers to celebrate Valentine. I found nothing wrong with that but yeah, minority of muslims teenagers tend to celebrate it anyway. second. Islam didn’t forbid their unmarried couple to express their love, as long as it is on the right+limited amount. Still, no pre-marriage sex. It never hurt to give out presents/chocolate all year round except for Valentine purposes.
