  All those Miss something contests around the world feature sub-par looking women if you think about it. I can’t think of anyone really memorable from all those contests I have seen. I think the whole “Miss *insert country name*” concept is not based on physical beauty at all. Like for this one, it’s about “refinement” according to the article.
