Why all of Japan ? You wont find this in any media, at least not in my country. The only people who will be embarassed will be the TAF Organisers, maybe Tokyo Government, and otakus who think that Anime (and Manga) is one of the world wide most popular things. And most otakus will just be embarassed in the internet if they have to read something like “lol you and your shitty government”.

“Mainstream” people will hardly be interested in that at all. Except they have an Anime/Manga loving person in their social surroundings.

Relocation might actully be the wises Choice. If I understand correctly this ban is only valid in Tokyo-To. Not the whole Areas surrounding Tokyo. There some quite big Cities around Tokyo that might have the facilities for such an event: Yokohama, Kawasaki, Saitama City, Chiba City…all of which are located in the surrounding prefectures while still being accessible by public transort.) The only problem ist probably only the short timeframe which will make it impossibl to get another location. …
