    Even though I'm not really into shows like this, I will watch it because it goes against the extremely vague ( well I guess a lot of this oppose it) ban thingy. It's like ero will be the new cool thing, whenever my parents tell me to do my Homework I'll tell them " Screw you I'm watching a girl's nipples licked by kittens".

    I'm no Artefact, but I could tell you the terms of the ban are still rather open to interpretation. (For the lack of an example, which they will undoubtetly make before long.)

    Question here is if the manga and anime industry can proceed with business as usual until a court decides on these issues...

    If they have to wait until it meanders its way up to the supreme court then the industry will be badly affected.

    They can just steam-ray-shadow out all the "depictions" of "illegal sexual acts" involving "apparent minors" like they did previously anyway for standard television (so that they aren't actually "depicted" anymore), and AT-X being a premium channel shouldn't fall under the new bill, right? I somehow get the impression it'll be business as usual even with the ban. At least until there are no new manga to adopt into TV anime anymore...

    I wonder how long the ban will hold, history teach us that bans don't tend to last long.
    The industry can pretend it abides the law while making tons more anime with all the good content reserved for DVDs, which works good for titles like Seikon, with all those great extras.

    And they're doing it already so I think only the major events are the victims in the end.

    Can anyone read? The Tokyo Youth Ordinance was not a ban, it's just increased regulation by Tokyo's Metropolitan Government- not saying it's a good thing.

    Anime and Manga won't stop, and no one knows how it will really effect things. But the fight will continue.

    Good evening, Sankaku. Allow me first to apologize for this interruption. I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of fapping as the everyday norm, in the security of my room, and the tranquility of climax. I enjoy them as much as any. Because whilst the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, actions and screen time will always retain their power. Actions, beyond words offer meaning to our hopes, our dreams, and for those who would act, our raison d'etre. But in order for action to be required, there must be something wrong. And there is something wrong, isn't there?
    Censorship and facism...intolerance and oppression. And where we once had the freedom to object, to watch and fap as we saw fit, we now have censors and black bars coercing the people to conformity and submission. How did this happen and who's to blame? Well certainly there are those who are more responsible than others, but of course they will not be held accountable. But again, truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look at the producers who refuse to act. I know why they didn't do a thing. They were afraid. Who wouldn't be? Being shut down. Bad publicity. Jail-time, even. There were a myriad of reasons which conspired together to take away their backbone. Fear got the best of them and in their panic, the people of Japan turned to the now governor Shintaro Ishihara. He said he would bring safety to your children. And all he demanded in return was that the publishers do nothing.
    On the fifteenth, oh the fifteenth of December, Taki corporation sought to end this decrepit lethargy. On the fifteenth, Taki corporation announced the second season of Seikon no Quasar. Search your histories. There has always been revolutionaries, and they have always hanged for their actions. And yet, those actions reverberated throughout history and changed the course of it. Their hopes and actions shall become our perspectives. So if you've seen nothing, if the crimes of this government remain unknown to you, then I would suggest that you allow the fifteenth of December to pass unmarked. But if you see what I see, if you feel as I feel, and if you would seek as I seek....then I ask you to stand beside Taki corporation, throughout the year, till the fifteenth of December. Let us give Ishihara this fifteenth of December, and let it never, ever be forgot!
