I agree that some parents really should never be allowed to have children. But when parents of a child are bad, only those children are affected by it (more or less), but when the government makes mistakes on what it imposes, *all* of the children are affected by it.

Furthermore, the means of fixing whatever is wrong is tremendously more difficult when it comes to correcting a government mistake than that of a individual parents.

So, I don’t disagree with what you’ve said, but I’d rather have to deal with bad parents than a bad government.
