Pokémon’s star critter Pikachu has been made into a kiddy riding machine any number of times – but some have voiced concern that the Korean versions have not preserved the cuteness the character is famed for.
Just what is behind the difference in design is far from clear.

Those korean Pikachu Riding thingies remind of what Uwe Boll wanted to make.

Pikachu takes turns like a doorknob takes hands.
Don't give those parents more reason to break their kids' pokemon carts just because pokemon is "demonic", and that some cursed contract is signed to make use of the creatures to fight for an evil cause.

Looks more like recycling than copyright issues. If you look at two top and right bottom ones... take the ears away and paint them gray (or white) and they look like baby seals. They were probably old animals that went through a makeover (albeit a terrible one).

Well, the reason why they change the look is for association...you can create a ride but not have to pay the rights and little kids wont care because it 'looks' like pikachu.
Its a marketing technique. :P

Korea doesn't do much manufacturing relatively these days. These machines are almost certainly made in China, then imported in to Korea.
