Hmm, it may be that the censoring happens in post-production rather than done by the networks. That's why there isn't the regular black or white light but ink blotches instead.

The animators really wanted to stick it in them. But alas, they end up messing the piece and just photoshopped the white splatter marks black.

Well i Think i am the only one who likes this style of censoring or ? Sure i would enjoy it without that but.. So you enjoy the anime "more" for the style the anime is~ Not only for the eroge parts
I approve of it because it it oddly fitting with the style as opposed to the rays of light or steam from nowhere. The ink it actually used a lot for other things in the show as well so it hardly seems out of place.

The artist would defend that as "accidents" because their low pay forbids them to get decent ink-pens, hence the blots which "coincidentally" covers nipples.
yeah and by coincidens the ink splotches even make some noise when appearing on the screen (but what really bothered me in the first ep was that they appeared even in non ero scenes)
it becomes scary when this "coincidence" continues for the whole season...

Yeah the ink is annoying but at least fits the art style, unlike the miniaturised supernovae or power of christ or whatever the hell those light rays in other series are supposed to be.
Beams of light and fog are pure annoyance. Whoever employs those should be neutered.

The art for this show is pretty cool and experimental. But does it work? Not too well. Everything's too close to the screen and the coloring is so artsy you can't get very drawn in. Not to mention the annoying ink splotches all over the damn place.

I was hoping AT-X would have it uncensored, I guess I'll keep watching Ika Hyakka Ryoran Musume.
It's true, the show has a sweet style to it so I can look past the censorship during the TV version.
But not literally..
While the censoring is retarded, I found the dark ink splotch style of it fit fairly well with the overall grittiness of the anime. It's more interesting than steam or bright light, at any rate...
I'm not a fan of this kind of anime but I really like the art on this one, might pick it up when it's released in BD.

I was VERY excited about this show and it even has gals from "K-On!" doing voices but the Ink Splatter gag - Really RUINED my first impression of Ep#1.
I couldn't even get through it all. I was at the 15 minute mark and just got annoyed. Now it's on my "C List"- which is anime's I Might go back to if we enter a season where nothing good is airing for 3 months.
If there is a channel (Like AT-X or whoever show H.O.T.D uncensored)- I Might care again. To think all that time, production, and advertising for a show Intentionally Ruined with Ink Spots!
