This almost happens to me in Mexico City. During rush hour in the second biggest city in the world, the trains are literally as packed as in Tokyo, only difference is it's the crowd that crams people inside the trains instead of the station's staff. The platforms are so fucking full you stand like 10 cm away from the border D:

Maybe it's just me, but I think Makoto (game version) get's more hate than he should. Sure, his anime counterpart got what he had coming to him, but from what I can gather, in the games, he doesn't even come close to being even 5% the bastard he was in the anime.
