To Aru Majutsu no Index II – Index Returns

To Aru Majutsu no Index II marks the return of the original series, delighting fans with another chance to become reacquainted with moe staples Index, Mikoto by way of JC Staff’s competent animation skills – a return which is proving well received indeed.
The previous entry in the Index storyline, To Aru Kagaku no Railgun, was essentially a parallel side-story that does not necessarily correlate with much of what happens in the main To Aru Majutsu light novel storyline, but this first episode of Index II did not pick up directly after the first season’s finale, so it might be a bit unclear for those familiar with the books as to when the first major story arc will begin.

I noticed that Motoharu and Komoe-sensei's designs have changed for the better. Komoe looks cuter, and Motoharu looks plain badass in the OP

Whoa, Touma is one seriously nice guy, moreso than season one; to show THIS much unconditional kindness to a man who had kidnapped his (adopted) little sister AND given him a MONTH'S detention by destroying his summer homework.

Now, I've got to rewatch the first season, fuck yeah!
Why did they have to fire all of their writers after the first arc in the first season and replace them with monkeys? The second season continues the terrible writing that was present past the half way mark of the first season.
Situations that are intended to be serious or sad are instead made laughable and boring due to bad writing and lack of character depth.
This is the 2nd worse series this season, topped in mediocrity only by panty and stocking.
I will probably watch a few episodes to see if they get back to the story they dropped like 15 episodes ago, but it seems doubtful. People like the mindless, storyless moe just fine so why bother hiring writers?
And you show your lack of following the story everything on index season 1 is part of the story, they actually skip this episode as it was deem boring.
Mind you to tell me what you find as a great story? Naruto? bleach?
The writing in naruto and bleach is on the same level as To Aru Majutso no Index post first arc. The only difference is the moe factor in Index. Well, Index also has nice art i will admit.

I've become very attached to this adorable and sexy psycho lesbian myself in "Railgun", so I REALLY hope they tone down her selfish, vindictive and above all UNGRATEFUL aspects.
Because so I read even though Touma saved her from being MURDERED by a superior Teleporter, instead of being grateful in the least, vowed to murder Touma herself just because he UNWITTINGLY earned Mikoto's love.

Mikoto is fast becoming a female version of Wolverine, in that the directors are aggressively pushing her publicity at the expense of the actual leading lady, in spite of the fact she just HAD an awesome series ALL TO HERSELF.

Index is not MOE enough, and when the guys at JC Staff suddenly realized it, it was too late to change the title.
Besides, most people here wants to see moar kanzaki (especially in some ecchi OVA), moar biribiri, moar sisters, moar last order, and moar saten. Not index.
I think you are wrong, even in the novels Mikoto's roles are no more than supporting roles here and there.
i think youre wrong, mikoto appears before index in the first season she even keep making constant cameos almost all arcs, she only is unseen in ars magna and last oder arcs.
It mirrors the development of the light novels, though.
Index becomes less important compared to Mikoto and Last Order, after all.

Make no mistake, I LOVE Biri-Biri. She is a hot blooded, righteous and heroic youth that you rarely if ever see any more in any medium, east or west, over cold-blooded, selfish and cynical excrement like Lelouch Lamperouge and Light Yagami.
But this merchndise based favouritism damages the story and narrative integrity of a franchise, and is what has made the X-men franchise a joke now amongst "serious" media fans. Now this Marvel-Started disease has infected modern anime as well.... sigh.
