  While this was true back in the ’60s, ’70s (Cutie Honey notwithstanding), and ’80s, and mostly so (some OVAs excepted) even in the ’90s, it’s not anymore. Nanoha aired in a late-night time-slot and didn’t even pretend to be targeted at little girls. It’s a spin-off of an H-game, FFS. Today, late-night magical girl shows are pretty common.
