A man stands accused of running his family as an incest sex slave harem for over 15 years.
Police responding to a woman’s report that her husband had raped her daughter soon heard a shocking tale of a 47-year-old man running the family for his own sexual gratification.
One of the girls was reportedly kept imprisoned in an (American) “closet-sized” room for a year or more, and was repeatedly raped.
The familial abuse is said to have continued for 15 years or more.
His children, two boys and five girls, range from 3 months to 19 years old. The family was placed under police protection after the reports.
He has been charged with 19 offences relating to the harem – 5 counts of gross sexual imposition, 2 counts of raping a female under the age of 13, 6 counts of child endangering, 5 counts of domestic violence, and 1 count of aggravated menacing. He denies the charges.
His incest harem is said to have gone undetected for so long because he controlled his family’s access to the outside world, home-schooling his children and preventing contact with friends and family.

The mother may very well have been terrified of the guy. In a lot of cases, the woman is too terrified to go and report it, especially if the guy's the sole breadwinner and she has kids to take care of. Not saying that this was the case here, because it's kind of odd that it went on for FIFTEEN YEARS, but... It's a possibility.
