  realistically i doubt you’ll ever see more from a motion controlled fighter. ultimately they have to make the game playable by the largest possible group, which isn’t going to be trained martial artists. and i’m not saying all gamers are going to be fat lazy slobs, but the reality is most people (gamers or not) are likely to hurt themselves if they are encouraged to act like Jet Li.

  No different than facing players who’ve been training character moves in normal fighters. This version just makes it more directly responsive. I have no doubt that you can fight well even if you can only punch and move around a little/duck. But we’ll need thin girl characters for those Olympic gymnast players. It’ll be glorious.

  The only characters that seemed Japanese in the anime were Yozora and Rika. Yukimura was identified as full-Japanese, but has the appearance of some magical European fairy.
