Mafia II “Hugely Degraded on PS3″

The playstation 3 just added realism that's all.
I mean come on, where does it looks as nice as it does on the Xbox?

They developed it on the 360, then did a crappy job porting to the PS3. Nothing new here.

wow!...the 360 kids are getting just as desperate as the pc children...trying to prove that the slackers at Microsoft can actually make games...sony and Nintendo will always be tops in the gaming world.

I doubt anyone will care what I have to say.. but I'm going to say it anyways and I'm too damn lazy to create an account right now to say it. I played all 3 versions, and yeah the PC looked best and even though I played it with a 360 USB controller I'm going to get it on the PS3.

Firstly I enjoy sitting on my couch more then my PC chair and secondly after playing both the PS3 and 360 version I noticed a ton of screen tearing on the 360 and a more jittery frame rate while actually playing the game and not watching in game cinematics.

When Rage comes out, there's no doubt I'll be getting it on the PC, but for this game, whatever.. PS3 works fine, plus I'm a sucker for exclusive free extra missions.

Well as usually it's the developer's fault, not the console's fault. Sort of.

Fucking hell this is starting to get annoying how hard can it be to make a decent looking game on two consoles, it's like they flip a coin to decide which console gets the better looking version.

Final version looks incredibly similar for being a cross-platform game, actually.

First Bayonetta, then Red Dead Redemption, and now Mafia II? Are these developers trying to give PS3 a bad name?

It's already been proven that the demo was from a very old build of the game. Even before E3. New screenshots have surfaced since then showing the PS3 version looking just as good as the 360 version. Yes this includes grass. I lol'd at the PS3 picture here though. The guy looks sad like "Dude...my grass. What happened?"

looks like Xbox's more powerful GPU started to outrun PS3's less powerful GPU.... at least PS3 still have a more powerful CPU..

never cared about openworld games.. i dont find it fun to play in a realistic situation..

i play video games to be sucked into a fantasy world and not be playing something i cant tell if its a work of fiction or fantasy

Very little difference. I'll only care it PS3 has nudity and X360 has non or vice versa. Or the game hangs on this or that.

up-to-date? Hardly, still a Quad Core @ only 2.8GHz, only two HD4870's with 512MB each and 8GB DDR2 RAM @ 1066MHz. But yeah, games look way better.

still getting the PS3 version.. it doesn't look that much worse.. and fuck the 360 controller, that shit is annoying..

Those screenshots for the PS3 version have been confirmed not to be from the final build. The PS3 version has grass, just like the 360 version.

They didn't explain why his English was so great. :O

This information is very inaccurate. The build for PS3 is far from final, as can be seen in the pictures below. PS3 version has grass as well yes and the difference between two consoles are far from noticable
