Those having trouble memorising the periodic table of elements but who have no problem with popular anime characters may find their salvation at hand with the above rendition of the periodic table.
It is worth pointing out that “Pd” is represented by Kodomo no Jikan…
Many, many years ago in my honors chem class I remember my teacher telling us that the "correct" table has Lu and Lr in group 3 instead of La and Ac because of how the wide periodic table is laid out. Can anyone shed some light on this?
It's because those two rows at the bottom are moved there from the place they belong... between the 2nd and 3rd column. But La and Ac are used on the main table to represent where they go because they're used to name those two groups (Lanthanides and Actinides)... but really, it's the ones at the ends of the groups (not the beginning) that should be in that column if you're going by the orbitals and how they react chemically.
If only I knew about all those characters, it would make memorising the periodic table much easier. Not that it would make any sense to memorise it in the first place. The little numbers usually included in periodic tables are important. Knowing those would come in handy.
no joke in one of the possible Questions in my university chemistry basic course is:
imagine the PSE as a board of chess and place the "horse" (foreigner here sorry dont know the engl. names for chess figures except they are just translated normally) on As, name all possible elements you can reach.
I know the periodic table is read left-to-right, top-to-bottom,
but for readability I am going to do this top-to-bottom, left-to-right.

I'm not sure if it's good or bad that I recognize more elements than characters on that chart. There's maybe a half dozen characters on that entire thing that I know and a least 5 times as many elements.
I tried searching "Co" in the page to find if someone figured it out but....."COmment, sankaku COmplex" made it nigh impossible.
So anyone figure out Cobalt? I'm trying to finish the list @.@
lol, Np-Nipah, Os-tan, Pa-ntsu...
Why is HG not Sailormercury and U not Sailoruranus? :P
fucking win

What's sad is, this will likely make it easier for me.
I'm going to use this to make a T-Shirt \o/
My favorite element is Eu. (Eureka)
rofl, pd for pedo.
This shit is awesome.
I first read the table without reading the text below... and Pd for Kodomo no Jikan catched my eyes too. :)
If I can't name them, I at least know where they're from. All except Fe (Iron)...
Oh, never mind. Anonymous 3:51 got it.
I would have toatally Aced Chemistry if I was using this periodic table
Heh, brilliant choice with Iron. Kurogane Otome her last name is basically "Black Iron". One of my fav characters.
what are they referring to with Pa
It is a strike witches char
so maybe Pantsu?
Almost perfect, except, Reimu Hakurei (Rh) is from a game, not an anime!
It's Japanese Characters, so it's not just anime.
After Musou Kakyou that narrative does not hold anymore...
I'm highly disturbed by Rf, isn't the eye placement kinda creepy or are my glasses jost broken? Source?
Ranpha Franboise, Galaxy Angel. She's a hot tsundere, not creepy at all.
lol
Mio=Mo(e)
o.O
LR????
Lr = Loli Ruri (Nadesico). There's an adult version in the movie.
Osaka as oxygen gives a whole new meaning to the term "airhead"
Pa=Pantsu=Strike Witches
The creator of this periodic table should be given a nobel prize.
Np and Ds gave me the most laughs.
Epic periodic table ftw!
I hope I don't answer wrongly on my next chemistry quiz after seeing and "accidentally" memorizing this xD

nvm
Fe is iron :)
This gave chemistry a new (and good) meaning.
What character is Te? (Tellurium)
Hand Maid May
The real question is, how'd they wind up with Te for her?
Never mind, I came to the realization a few nights ago: Te = hand, so there we have Hand Maid May.
Awesome table.
I'd like to get me some magnesium!
Nice list, I had fun trying to name the characters.
Could have used higher resolution pictures though since it appears grainy. If I have time maybe I'll redo the table with nicer pictures and formatting
Fuck yeah. Henriettas right up there. :D
This is... Rather impressive.

So I'm always swimming in the sea full of CLannad.
No wonder Flandre is the most reactive and destructive element.

If it had the same stats a normal periodic table had, I would totally love this.
Amusing (and lulzworthy), but won't help me now :(
I've been waiting for this...but seems to be too late for me...
Rhodium = Rh = Reimu Hakurei from Touhou
Prometium = Pm = Potemayo
I'm not sure if it's good or bad that I recognize more elements than characters on that chart. There's maybe a half dozen characters on that entire thing that I know and a least 5 times as many elements.
"Ne" should be Negi...
I don't see female Ranma, which means this table fails.
Palladium is a noble element...
M-Multi Chan!!!
Yotsuba! XD
well i think this a great idea to remmember the periodic table.
Yay Belldandy!
Rei!She isn‘t RA……
Rei Ayanami
Wow! Amazing! Totally amazing!!
Oh! The anime goddess Haruhi-sama is also the first one! :3
Here is a good learning tool .
Mt should have been Mina Tepes
Rei-dium lol
i loled at asuka as arsenic...
This is AWESOME. And I have trouble with this no more.
Let it be said I am forever in debt to an anonymous otaku.
I need to put this in my binder now..
So, so far on the list i got(added to an existing one), the only missing elements are:
Co
Cu
Se
Sr
Zr
Te
Hf
W
Hs
Pm
Cm
Cf
Almost there >.>
Se - Seto no Hanayome
Sr - Sora no Otoshimono
Hs - Hidamari Sketch
Pm - Potemayo
Only recognized 53 different ones. I really need catch up on older series and broaden my current perspective.
if i just had this chart when i were in school :(
It's amazing how in-the-Now most Otakus roll about in with this table. I could only account 4 characters from the '90s with 2 out of the '80s!
Where's Lum?!
I tried searching "Co" in the page to find if someone figured it out but....."COmment, sankaku COmplex" made it nigh impossible.
So anyone figure out Cobalt? I'm trying to finish the list @.@
Bk, Baka(Baka to test to shoukanju)
Hurray for science!
lol, I loved neptunium.
If you already know all the elements (like me), feels pretty lame.
If you're looking to know all elements for any lame reason, this is the one to get and practice.
love this list :)
Amazing Idea! O_O
Saving it for when I will need to learn it. :D
Aluminum (AL) should be Alphonse Elric. Heck, he's probably made of some.
if we had this on my time chemistry would have been so much fun.
Maria Shidou deserves Cd (CrossDresser) :D
how does Pb = Yomiko Readman or Read or Die? and how does shirai Kuruko = Tl? needs corrections but overall kinda cool.
Pb = lead or die
Tl = teLeporter
Neodymium...a rare earth element indeed.
This is disgrace to science!!!
This is call brainwashing your chemistry knowledge and blend it with animes. Ahahaha. soon your brain be fill with nothing but animes.
Is that a bad thing?
WTF, why all females??
cause male otaku fap only female character. otherwise, they are gay.
I don't mind if Hideyoshi takes Hydrogen instead of Haruhi.. and sadly there are no "J" element for Jun..
And it's easy to predict what character most fujoshis would want for CE.
Putting Hydrogen at atomic number 1 so she could be at the top of this table is one of the things that happened when Haruhi remade the Universe.
wtfisthisidonteven
If I only I had this back when I was in highschool.. :<
Hell yeah for Tamaki (Thulium) and Fumina (Fermium). Anyway, why is Yomiko Plumbum..?
English: Read or die.
Engrish: Lead or die.
Could also be a reference to pencil lead, since Yomiko is into the written word.
Is there anyone who can tell me where the characters on Ge & Tm are from? :)
(No idea but I would also like to know those two...and Bi, Cr & Am too!)
Cr = Sawako from kimi ni todoke. Cr because she's Creepy.
Am is definitely Kohaku from Tsukihime.
Kohaku = Amber
Bi probably from binchou-tan
Thanks a lot! It immediatly cought my eye when I opened the pic!
Ge = Neko Musume from GeGeGe no Kitaro. Quite fitting. ^_^
Bi = Binchou-tan.
I know Cr and Am, but don't remember the names.
TM is a really hard one...
Cr = Chromium
Character is Kuronuma Sawako from Kimi Ni Todoke.. took me a while to get there.
TM is Kawazoe Tamaki from Bamboo Blade.
Thank you :)
