The survey in the above link is obviously untrue if you have spent a long time in Japan, it was probably conducted by some American media just like how the Hollywood movies always protrait an American man's fantasy in Asian women, but when you grow up and go to Asia, you'll find out thats not the case in the real world.

Because most East Asian women (Japan, China, Korea) are not interested in white/black men at all! You'll also seen from the interracial couples, where an Asian woman accompanying a white man, those women are usually the ugly mid-aged ones who apparently cant get a normal E. Asian BF or escort agent's hookers that cost USD$150 per hour in Shanghai?

You would think Brazil and China would be higher, based on the "exotic" factor.

I think USA / UK / Italy / France were voted higher because they are the most popular Nations, even if people online have junk to say about them and basically spit out every stereotype they can.

When people think of "foreigners" or "gaijin", they think of Americans first, France, then England. If Americans were to be polled online about which foreigner they would date: Russia / France / Germany / Brazil would be the highest voted.

Overall it is rather predictable when you think about it. Then you have to take exactly why people voted, are they voting for the typical Caucasian /Euro look or taking other appearances into consideration?

Chinese Girls are good if they come from the middle class side of town. The ones that are from kind of poor but still often okay side. The poorer ones like the farmers are... ridiculous at best and the well to do ones are often just as prissy if not even more than American "mean girls". If you see any girl remotely close to well dressed and in makeup, you can probably bet there is a sugar daddy somewhere or else that girl has a family that is living the high life.

I'm surprised Germans aren't higher on the list, given Japan and Germany's close ties during WW2. Not to mention, other then English, German is the language that Japanese pop culture mixes with the most (ie: Dir en Grey, the relatively common German characters anime).

These people are definitely confusing what they see in T.V. and movies as reality, most Americans are definitely not like that. Oh and by Americans they most likely mean Caucasians, not surprising since that's pretty much all you see in movies. Statistically speaking, most of us Americans are overweight bastards, not that I'm overweight or anything.

I wouldn't say that in matter of fatness America is worse than Europe because here we have 50-60% rates of overweighted people as well
(however the BMI is the shit,if you are about 180 cm tall you can have a weight between like 65-85kg before you're overweight,that's like 20 kg difference between really thin and already fat,even with like 75kg I still have an enlarged belly <_< and with 85 kg I was like already fat and 60% of my people are even fatter...).

Another problem of chosing America is because the people itself are not really American but from Europe/Asia/Africa so if they'd date an American i don't see a reason why they'd rather not date Europeans/Africans/Asians instead, I don't think they want native idian boyfriends/husbands...

About the UK/Italy-votes, I think they are more commonly know and that's why they seem more popular than other countries...
However,the Spain-votes surprised me, I don't know why but somehow Spain seems to be popular in Japan, I'd still wish they'd prefer Germany more (although most guys (aged 12-28) over here nowadays are just birdbrained alcoholics or even more birdbrained foreigners with a vocabulary of like 500 words max...
