#88 is some new experimental pistol made by Armatix that only operates when it's within a few inches of the watch you also see on the guys arm. As far as i know, there isn't a set in stone model name for it yet.

#23 and #38 I believe, if I'm remembering the numbers correctly, are a unique Civil War era pistol of french make, the "LeMat" Revolver. It was a strange thing for a revolver. First off it had 10 rounds instead of a typical 6 or 8. The oddball part of it, and possibly awesome part, was there was that second barrel below the first, that held and additional shotgun round. It was a percussion cap, packed-round fed pistol, so you had to hand pack each chamber like a musket, including the 11th shotgun round. Still, it was a pretty powerful firearm to have packed in your hot little hand. French blockade runners had to run them into the country, so not that many made it into service here. Still, it was a nice officer's gun.

I don't think the AK-47 looks that cool. Practical maybe, but not cool.
I remember when the XM8 was just coming out in early 2000. It's original concept was so cool. Semi-auto overhead grenade launcher. And a scope that linked up a digital feed to the helmet so the shooter can accurately shoot around corners. It's a shame it didn't work out in the end. It's nice that people still remember it though.
