Please, Namco doesn't need Capcom's help considering Tekken is vastly way more popular in japan than SF unlike the states. If anything Capcom ASKED Namco for help.

They did this kind of cross over before, just for fighting game. For PS2, Capcom X Namco was release, did not play it so not sure what it was about, but it seems to resemble some type of action RPG.

Both companies are running out of ideas as Tekken is running on its sixth game and Street Fighter has run longer but the story kept changing.

Really? So every character in Tekken is balanced now?

Both VF and Tekken have their good points which I can no longer say for SF since they went the ugly route in both gameplay and looks IMO...

None of those are straight out swords and chainsaws, but I guess they still count. Sorry for being so ignorant about Street Fighter, though. I just haven't played or really bothered. Like I said on an earlier post, this'll be my chance to get into it.

Oh god, the tekken characters look so insanely bad with that street fighter engine..

Aren't the tekken's superior in the graphics engines for that matter? Why the hell would they use the street fighter one..

I guess for the side scrolling no 3-d aspect eh... But how the hell would they change characters like Yoshimitsu and and King..

Don't know..

hmmm i don't know. can you explain to me how they perfected the shooter and rpg genre? how do you even know they outperform the japanese in those categories? perfection can be differ from other people's perspective. to me it's not about perfecting but how fun and unique any genre can be.

for instance killer 7 is a perfect example of a great extraordinary shooter that you don't see nowadays, since almost every shooter we see is always aiming for realism. a dark story albeit confusing at first but you get to know more as you move on, gameplay is unique, you don't aimed at the head but at the weakspots of the enemy can either be at the back, leg, arms and so on. and that's the reason you keep playing it, are there any games like okami or shadow of the colossuss? Peace Walker also has one of the best gameplays ever. recruiting someone using a futon balloon? just pure genius.

im more to the unique aspect of a game, couldn't careless if they perfect any genre.
