Popular Nitroplus/huke visual novel Steins;Gate, originally released on the Xbox 360 and with a PC version on the way, is due to receive an anime adaptation.
The terse announcement comes by way of the official 5pb Twitter account – further details can be expected later.
An indirect sequel to Chaos;Head, the plot of Steins;Gate follows the struggle of a group of Akihabara otaku who inadvertently stumble upon dark experiments in time travel, with the original visual novel featuring an innovative interactive storyline advanced through mobile phone messaging.
The original visual novel is also noted for its distinctive character designs, created by none other than huke, the artist responsible for Black Rock Shooter and others.

Ofc the anime is not that good,its like 10% of the game.
The game is so engaging and mindfucking that you actually cheers for the main character as the story is completely focused on his torments and delusions.Best non-ero game i ever played.
About time they give Steins;Gate the attention it deserves :3

though if i may ask does anyone here play visual novel games? if so can you recommend me some? i already put this in my to play list along with some games(that have some sort of visual novel elements) like phantom of requiem, ace attorney and trauma series.
and also do you know any site that that let's you dl these kind of games. i would definitely love to buy these it's just that only few are being imported here not to mention the price is too steep.

The one that the anon said is awesome as well,and have that kind of disturbed world like in chaos head,but saya have sex scenes.When the history is so well presented in games like saya no uta,when the sex scenes come, it become a major turn off for me.

The game was good alright, but the anime was REALLY jumbled - which many only know from.
If there was a trans patch then i'd prob know better. Love that show for the quotes i get from it.

Chaos;Head was OK. Parts of it were awesome. The ending was a bit weak, though, and parts of it fall apart if you think about it too hard.

i don't know why japanese developers always release their shumps and visual novel games on the 360. why not the ps3? since clearly there's a market there. not to mention it's region freeso people can play it on any ps3(since they don't bother localizing it outside the ps3) I need Otomedius,Senko no Ronde DUO,Death Smiles, and phantom of requeim.
because PS3 has estimated sales minimum. Meaning crappy Visual Novels with only 30000 Sales at max wont get PS3 authorisation
My guess would be part higher development costs, and part because Sony is stricter about what's ok to release than MS.

Chaos;Head was one of the worst anime's I've ever seen.
the ONLY part I liked about it was when one of the girls takes her shoes off and gives the main character what looks like a foot job. (A very nice scene if your a fetishist)

If you do insist on watching Chaos:Head, I suggest stabbing yourself in the eyes first. Trust me, you'll enjoy it more that way.
