"Black" music really ain't mah thang. However, I won't knock it for it usually has lots of cool beats/rhythms, etc.

Also lots of "Sampling" which in today's "Parasite who lives off the works of others" society leads to tons of lawsuits. Interestingly enough, when it's "Major Studio" works doing the sampling, they get away with it all. I've turned on the radio and heard songs from "America" or even recently a background that reminded me (sped up) of "King Crimson" and then it turned into a "Rap" song.

But Anime seems to be catching on in "Black" culture in the USA and morphing in the process. The "Boondocks" is a wonderful example, you might look up "Grandpa's fight with Stinkmeaner"... Also "Afro Samurai", pure style over substance, but done quite well. In an interesting turn, "Samurai Champloo" was "Hip Hop" culture inspiring Japanese.
