Urrrr....well the animations of the OP and ED are good as always but the songs themselves are...generic. Oh and I get more and more the idea that K-on is a show for girls than for guys.
People that don't like K-ON just stay away. Instead of writing shit here spend your time on something else. Every second you spend here writing stupid things could be used for something else.
See the problem is, if too many people like K-ON! the only anime we get will be shitty moe stuff without any semblance of plot or realism. Seriously, K-ON! is an insult to real moe, otaku should be offended by this trite instead of worshiping it. Also, read the doujin "Mambiki JK Sei K-ON Bu"
If more people like it, it means that's the kind of series people want. There's plenty of other type of series airing this summer like Highschool of the Dead, Shiki, etc. that's aimed at a different target audience. Doesn't mean you can't like both, though.
And who always needs a plot in a series anyways? For every series with a good plot that aired this year (Durarara) there's 3 series with a shit plot like Daimaou or Angel Beats.

Can someone tell me why ending themes are called ED? Shouldn't it be EN for ENding to go with OP for OPening?
I think it's kind of going by the first letter of the first two syllables. O-Pe-ni-n-gu -> OP, En-Di-n-gu -> ED.
Personally I loved Go! Go! Maniac! the best, and kinda wish it was still there. It was upbeat, fun and cute all in one, which is why I watch this show.
Still, nothing is bad when coming to K-ON! you know. ^^
And Mugi-chan is too cute this episode! I wanna see more! ^_^;

As much as I like them, the endings for this show seem to be a bit misleading. This ending if you watch it not knowing anything about it, seems a little dark. I like how it's done like that thou. Can't wait for the singles for these to be released! ^_^
