Highschool of the Dead “Greatest Masterpiece”

i love the manga and the anime is very awesome, but we still have to wait if that was a 1rst ep thing only(isnt there a post about the 3 episode curse or something??)

I was excited for this show reading about it... now that I see it... kinda looks like every other fanservice show, except everyone has cookie cutter uberboobs.

Love the idea, like zombies, even like seeing girls wearing their opponents' blood, but it looks like so much fanservice it makes Aika look somber and reserved. Just another show you couldn't even mention to someone who isn't a hardcore otaku. :/

Oddly enough, the overabundance of focus on the oppai and pantsu kind of turns me off. As a zombie aficionado, I want more focus on the carnage and the horror, not on the OMG BOUNCING BOOS IN YOUR FACE! This is the first major zombie anime/manga I have seen or heard of, and it disappointments me that this is what comes out of the gates first. A zombie survival tale in a high school opens the gats for some interesting possibilities, with the juxtaposition of the developing personalities and social identities of the young mind at such a traumatic time; and I'm sure that sexuality would play a role in a situation like this with characters of this age, but not in such a major way.

I would like to add that I am in no way gay, and I do like my ecchi, but not when it gets in the way of what I also like, which is mainly zombies.

Actually, i find the anime alright, will be looking forward to the other episodes.

Unimpressed. By the first episode it just looks like a standard zombie story. I think it's getting so much attention just because it's an anime. If this live action it wouldn't get as much attention. Just because it's new to anime, that doesn't make it new. I'm watching in the hopes that there will some major plot twists.

This anime is interesting, but Digimon Xros Wars will be the best new anime for this season.

I started reading the manga and prayed that it would become an anime. YES!!!

The series were actually quite good before ep 6 came out.

Here's how you make a great anime (for the japanese audience):

- Add a loli (first and obligatory)
- Add a tsundere
- Add a big breasted nymphmaniac bitch OR moe twat
- Now, put some blood to call some more audience
- Now, a plot that you could enlarge for, at least, 3 seasons, 5 movies and intense merchandising (that includes, fake vaginas)
- Get some catchy and cheesy jpop song for your OP
- If your plot was kinda good, ruin it with INTENSE ecchi and fan service

And that's all you need! Congratulations!

How the series fell, having started out with this, and then by the second episode the censoring had even spread to the premium pay services. Blueray's exorbitant prices await, thanks for the fuckover Japanese censoring retards.

I feel so disgraced seeing this series only gaining popularity when the anime was released. The manga itself was a masterpiece! It was practically saying the manga wasn't interesting at all!

I have/am reading this manga and its pretty ok. The girl with the katana will be nice ;p

After watching this I find it funny how in animes the cast is usually teenagers or kids.

But in live-action movies the cast usually have young adults to grown ups. I think I now know what audience this anime is targeting to now.

I hope they don't do too much unneeded fanservice, the premise is already interesting for me.
