The 2nd of July is K-ON! princess Tsumugi Kotobuki‘s birthday, and naturally moeblob otaku have been celebrating the event with the sort of lavish celebration no mere flesh and blood female can command.
Their antics are documented below:
The official site was not immune to all this:
A celebratory wallpaper was also provided:

My b'day is same with mugi-chan
Atefact, do you take that from Yarareyaku or directly from 2ch ?
...or directly from your home ? :)
Wahahahaha sad otakus. They should just jump off a building and rid the world of patheticness.
I've always wondered if there were otaku that had their plushes and paper goods lined up next to the cake, then accidentally bumped something into the candles. How tragic that would be. > w>
cake is a bit gross. mugiiiiiiiiiiiiii happy b-dayz
sup mugi
What the hell is that disgusting looking green cake?
むぎゅうううううううううううううううううううううううううう!!!!!!!!
I applaud those who serve Mugi-sama some yakisoba..
Anyway, Happy B'day Mugi!
*laughs* so very ronery otaku...
It's not technically ronery if other ppl also do the same stuff.
moeblob otaku:-"Evil is this party creepy ?"
Master-Evil:-
"This isn't creepy or disturbing at all, am sure the girl tied up and dressed as Tsumugi Kotobuki is wiping and crying out of happiness and not fear."
moeblob otaku:-
"i knew you would understand............"
moeblob otaku:-"Hey Evil, is this birthday party creepy."
master-evil:- "of course not, it not creepy or disturbing, even with the girl tied up and dressed up as Tsumugi Kotobuki in the corner, she is crying out of happiness not fear."
moeblob otaku:-" i knew you would understand.........."
con todo ese dinero mal gastado en juguetes mejor te comprai una nipona son re lindas
mugi-chan is my favourite character, damn! she's a uptown girl!
Mugi is my favourite too! But a Mugi-chan Birthday Giftset??? Such a thing exists in Japan??? *moves to Japan*
Am I the only one that finds celebrating an anime character in such a manner to be disturbing?
The hilarious thing is how cheap all this junk is. I see nothing in these pictures the would have cost over 5000 yen, usually more like 500, if not less. "Lavish", then, seems a little strong.
"It's my 2D girlfriend's birthday, so I bought her a 100 yen packet of noodles from Daiso" - too pathetic for words.
76? wtf?!?! another weird way to celebrate your b-day aw well guess they're having fun right? ^^
When I see this kind of "shrines" I can fully grasp the original meaning of the word "IDOL".
(Only the likes of Kannagi and Kamichu can do better ^_^)
Happy Birthday Mugi-chan! X3 You're my favorite K-ON character XD Wow kinda ironic, it's also the Birthday of one of my own characters. (Yes I like to design, draw, and write back story of characters. I don't think I'm really good enough but I just do it for fun.)
Congrats Mugi!!! You make my everyday. You my uptown girl!
Moreover, your b-day is less than 5 days away from mine!!!
See you in your graduation.
Someone should give her something to twease her eyebrows for her birthday c_c
こんにちは牟岐happybirth日。愛あなたの音楽。牟岐あなたは私のアイドル。私は光の音楽がより良い未来の成長を期待する。あなたが私のインスピレーションを与えているありがとうございます。愛してるのhahahaha
heh 76 years old
I love Mugi but these pictures look more like offerings to the dead than a celebration given how the items are placed in front of her picture.
for those who might be interested, K-On! (first season) have been licensed and should see a R1, DVD and Blu-Ray release
please not... :O
For once I'm in agreement. Just like Haruhi and Lucky Star, outside from the Otaku crowd, no one is going to buy K-On!... From experience, I'd say it's going to flop...
...and considering that the Weaboos don't want a dubbed version - just like they complained about Strike Witches...
I really have to ask, what the hell does Weaboo mean?
It's just some stupid made up word, no-one says it outside of 4chan, so don't worry if you hadn't heard of it before.
A weaboo is someone of non-Japanese descent that becomes so embodied in Japanese culture that they wish they were Japanese. An example of a weaboo would be a 13 year old American girl that goes around saying how "Kawaii" and "Sugoi" everything is. It's usually an insult.
so ronery
I've lost faith on humanity... >.<
Doesn't take much for you to do so it seems
Huzzah for Mugi.
BTW
WTF is that green thing that I think might resemble food?
That's green tea cake.
it doesn't look edible to me
I like the one on the school blackboard.
Great way to spread the love right there.
:D
9,14: Mugi-chan is offended by your inadequate offering.
No pickled radish jokes?
No black man jokes?
No... And we don't need that here.
Well since.. Ep 12 has opened my eyes to more Mugi, I find this splendid... >:)
What the heck was that cake in image 4? liiks like green toiletpaper stacked on top of each other to form a cake.
Is that a dildo in 003? ^_-
lol, but it's the same as in photo 2, just with candles lit in image 3. Doesn't look like a dildo...
I think I'll eat some Takuan with my rice today. lol
Mugi Mania!
お誕生日おめでとう~!
Creepy.
At least I wasnt the only one thinking this
