why its popular is cause 90% of the stuff is fandom and the creator actively encourage it.
The character design are good, the games, hard but enjoyable, the world of touhou is interesting and overpowered, the music created are impressive and the remix are just as good.

So far, I've only seen one other person do watercolors in the industry, Yoshitaka Amano. This is just as amazing. So hard to get everything perfect and both seem to nail it on the head. Love the Sakura, thought wish there were more from the series.
I don't care if it's real watercolor or Photoshop, I want more :3

You may also draw watercolor style in photoshop.
Judging by the preciseness, this might be the case here too. Irl, if you move the brush correctly, water can still spill and make thicker spots, plus the color spread is uneven.
No ctrl+z? What about abortion!?
And this is why I just stick to paper and pencil...
Imagine screwing up completely three fourths of the way threw and having to start ALL OVER again... I bet she's been there and just completely dropped a piece xD

These are beautiful, very variant and soft. Not many artist uses watercolors these days, I'm fond on the technique, it's too bad I can't master it however. I'm envious for such talent.
