Comment on Miku’s Day Live Spectacular by Artefact:

Thanks, this is it but it is far to large to do anything with I think. I’d still like to repost them but the amount of effort involved is looking prohibitive.

In any case, if it’s not possible for a site of any size to post videos of an actual Vocaloid event without hassle from Sega it hardly seems worth bothering. Bizarre that they don’t want the publicity, but there you are.

They obviously have the rights but what they are doing is precisely at odds with what made Vocaloids so successful in the first place.

  • Miku’s Day Live Spectacular:
Sega obviously don’t appreciate the attitude to sharing and free promotion which made Miku great. Quite an outrageous attitude when they are not even the primary copyright holders of either the characters or the songs. Since they are going to keep knocking off the major video hosts I won’t bother replacing them, but if anyone provides me with these or their equivalents I will see if they can be restored using more robust hosting.

Google accepted the white app and signed off on three versions of it. The problem was that they objected to an email address in the app store entry (it was there from the start so apparently some of their staff were being difficult), refused to tell this, then banned us for being rejected. The app itself was never an issue. Apple are known to be strict, but they are also known for providing detailed feedback on rejection reasons and not banning developers for being rejected.

    Will investigate further, thanks!

    4+ should be OK.

A modern Material interface for an app consuming complex API data like this requires a lot of JS, native code, or otherwise, there is no way around it! Even the website already uses vast amounts of JS. We will likely provide a hybrid version at some point, but performance is liable to be an issue on some platforms.

Supporting iPhone requires some finesse as we cannot provide a sideloaded version like on Android. We are working on something though.
