Pirates have already an easy enough live. It's bothersome with many versions out there, like they did with the new Evangelion movies. How the heck are you supposed to know which version is best without trying and effectivly getting endless eight? Where's the point in making this many versions? (From a pirates perspective they don't even make money with this.) Just digging their own grave. I for starters lose interest if it gets too complicated, just move on to the next anime.
But then again, otaku do pay for endless eight so I guess they like stuff like this.
If this particular case is shopped or not doesn't really have anything to do with my opinion.

railgun is awesome though!
Mikoto is such annoying archetypal tsundere and the anime is full of nonsensical and boring filler episodes without the plot(which starte d too late when the series are to close to end).
Only SATEN and hentai-KUROKO saves this crappy show from the fail.

Index was pretty weak.
I liked the plot but the execution was pretty lacking.
Index is a pain in the ass, Misaka is win.
Misaka is cooler, as well as more likely stronger. But Index rules in the moe category. As well as the iron maiden look.
And it has a great plot.

It's supposed to be a side story that follows Misaka's side of events. At various points the plot joins/overlaps but you see it at Misaka's point of view instead of Touma's + Index's point of view.

It's true that the ZKC manga is two years older than the Index/Railgun manga, but the Index novels started before the ZKC manga did.
So you could argue that ZKC might have been inspired by the To Aru Majutsu no Kinsho Mokuroku novels. :3
