Goddamn,it's a regulation of the school that has to be accepted BEFORE entering the school,meaning if you accepted the regulations you can't whine about it later on. And if it says girls have to wear skirts they have to,end of the discussion. If you don't agree with it,don't join the school,it's easy,isn't it?

They should just send their children abroad if they can't take the regulations in the UK instead of pressing charges for being as stupid like a lump of bread!

We had boys and girls uniforms when I was seven, and at that age nobody could even tell if you were wearing the wrong one. Why does it matter?

While I won't get into the wider discussion of school uniforms in general, it seems to me that none of the underlying principles of a uniform system would be undermined with girls being allowed to wear, say, a nice pair of uniform dress slacks. It could be an easy option for the uniform, and that way the female students could take their pick, whichever was more comfortable to them personally.

As to the whole trans argument, I think it's ill-thought-out at best. A hypothetical FTM student is going to have deeper problems then skirts in the school uniform. While it's nice they're trying to take trans students' feelings into account, it's going to take rather more than just taking away skirts. In my opinion, they are better off working with those students individually to help them find a comfort level, rather than dictating policy From Above, so to speak.

"Skirt is for female" is a cultural impression. If men normally wear skirt (and pant is for women) since the ancient time, wearing pant should be counted as discrimination in this situation. :P
