Madhouse wins for me for including Sakura on the picture. Gainax is second for Abenoboshi and TTGL.
By the way interesting that Gainax only included girls on their picture, while Bones has guys and dogs only.

I still remember 360K and 1.44M floppy discs and that I needed about 48 of the latter for Warcraft 2, and the installation was like 3 hours. I actually saw 10MB HDDs in school…imagine that, a HDD that can store 0.014th of a simple CD. When I think that a random wallpaper I’m using, a simple jpg or png file takes up as much space as a whole floppy disk and I have hundreds of them and can still say “I only have some small files in this folder, it doesn’t take up any space”. And it hasn’t been …

Does it come in a 4:3 version? The space on my desk isn’t wide enough for those 16:9 new monitors… Ok, so it’s 64 times the amount of data compared to a normal 1024*768, where does the processing power and bandwidth come from? Not to mention many many times the cost to create the content, since it needs to be significantly more detailed for the resolution to serve a purpose… Can a human eye even see any difference at such an absurd resolution? Or do they intend these resolutions for a 4-8 …

  • File Hosts Shut Down En Masse:
I agree. Copyright laws are evil. They need to be abolished. I believe it is better for everyone to keep information free, the way it naturally is, and yes, that includes authors. How many times did you see anime or games where you thought “yeah, this could have been a lot better, but they wanted the profits, so the quality had to suffer to release it fast enough”? We don’t need them. We need creations of high quality, where people making them are committed to the work itself, and not to the …

  • Company Accidentally Deletes MMORPG:
Sounds like “We want to stop this game because it’s not profitable enough, but we can’t say that openly, can we? Let’s say we accidentally lost data to avoid people actually demanding all their money back.” to me. There is no way they had no backup. That would be beyond irresponsible. Besides, it’s not just the database, which might get lost in maintenance, there is the game software itself. It’s not like they actually developed the game on the server, so wherever they were working on it, …
