Lantis has attracted attention for posting a trailer for the upcoming Haruhi movie which fans complained spoiled most of the film. A revised trailer with reduced spoilerage later replaced the original, but too late to spare viewers of the original.

It's actually called Endless Eight due to the endlessly reoccurring 2 weeks of August, the 8th month of the Gregorian calendar. Ergo, Endless Eight. Also, the symbol for infinity looks vaguely like a sideways 8, but that's more of a minor fit into the grand scheme of things. It has nothing to do with length of episodes, nor chapters or anything else like that. 8 episodes was overkill and completely unnecessary.

They wanted to make an epic movie out of Disappearance but it would take a while and fans were vying for blood over the second season being delayed so they made the second season to buy time. However they didn't have enough content for it so they had to repeat endless eight even to make a 14 ep series.
They have more than enough content for at least another two seasons.
Though they all happen after the movie and the events of it tie into pretty much everything.
The only way Kadokawa and Kyoani can troll even harder is to promise Disappearance the movie, but once the lights go out and the film starts rolling, it's really all 8 episodes of Endless Eight...
Its the only way to make enough money for such a crapy series. Is to make another 8 episodes and then a Movie on the side because after all the hard work geting a Investments by hiring Japanese women to give a blow job's to a Buisness men just to convince them " Oh, this could make money".

Yeah, if you never read the novel, the first trailer spoiled stuff. Even though it was just still shots, they basically stepped you through all the major plot points (including a particularly climatic action event that was a major spoiler).
The second trailer was worse, that TV trailer not this piece of shit.
The first was ok, did walk through a vague idea of the story but the second one show'd you who the gun was pointed at. What kind of surprise building tension is that?
