I love the room with the checkboard floor, the one with a staircase right over the bed(?) and the one where he manages to fortify his bed with a lap top and PS3. ... Hmm time to rearrange my room.

Though the bottom line is that despite media coverage (or lack thereof), the obsessive fanboys/fangirls are actually pretty damn well-off financially. Whether it is from actual self-earnings or leeching off parents is another question.

Man, so many of those look cluttered to all hell. I'd like to have a fair amount of anime goods around, but I certainly wouldn't want them to completely dominate every aspect of it, as in the first images.

I'm 26 and i began to buy otaku stuff just recently.
Those rooms filled with cute 2D girls are awesome, i hope i can save money enough to buy half of the things they do.

I only eat one meal a day average, no girlfriend, and I still don't feel I have the money for a room like #1. Yet again, it must be the fact I hate charging on credit and don't carry a lot of cash on me.

I also have 2 flats. But one is my fathers old one I got years ago and the second one came from a hospital where I worked, I took the screen from the trash (pssstt, they had a pile just for computers)
The condensators were bloated, cahnged them and that shit worked again.
Both screens are only like 16" so Im really looking forward to buy two of those goddamn huge motherfuckers.

But i think some of the rooms there belong to non-otaku..well i've seen such similar rooms before, and the owners are just someone who seems to like anime and games but can't be called otaku since they don't just fit into the type...IMHO

As a female otaku, I have to really say that the first couple rooms are...interesting. It's not the content and images that disturb me (hell, I have a few Oppai things sitting around), but it's the sheer amount of stuff that they have. I'd be afraid I'd step on something that they would deem worth more than my life. Most are pretty okay though...some are pretty nice. I'm impressed.

I don't think most of the later rooms deserve to be called an otaku room (although they are awesome) but the first room really "wowed" me and I already have a "posters,figures" filled otaku room of my own

I am so disturbed. I thought I was kinda mild, but I beat many of these people hands down. (Except for the racing setup and the makura heaven.)

I need to get me a house with two bedrooms. The one I'll actually sleep in regularly would be decorated like the 1st guy's room. I'll keep that room locked at all times when it isn't in use and have a second "pretend" bedroom for when I have visitors, especially if those visitors are girls :P

Yeah I want also want to thow into the sentiment that these rooms are entirely attainable. Seriously, some of you saying that they are "expensive" probably have their priorities set somewhere else, like stupid-expensive cars and retarded-expensive vacations. I am like these otaku, my primary investment is my entertainment setup/study area. When your lifestyle revolves around this stuff, when your lifestyle is a digital entertainment lifestyle, then these rooms actually appear pretty cheap...

Dude with the racing setup is awesome. Hell, most of those rooms were awesome. If I could live the high life like a few otaku then I'd definitely would.

Here is my hypothesis on the issue:
- Money draws power.
- Power draws the bearer to the top of the food chain.
- The top is lonely.
- Rich are ronery.
- Ronery are otaku.
This is applied for the 'better' design you see in the upper pictures; other examples try to be an otaku first and crawl later, as seen in the 'lesser' pictures in this gallery, and the later VIP room galleries.

Damn im gonna save up and get a Rolex there so nice and all those rooms are nice bar the first one that was really obsessive but ok the rest were really nice though.

If you're a teenager: Epic, dude... that room is awesome.
to mid 20s: It'll be like kryptonite to girls, but hey, I think it's pretty cool...
late 20s/early 30s: Seriously dude, if you made it a normal room you could keep that stuff and more on your computer... for free. There's no need to force social incompatibility like that... the only people you could have in there are like-minded obsessive male otaku.

I'm just being honest - I'm more in the 3rd category with fairly low-key decoration, but some gaming, and some anime posters, and a few figures, but at least I know where it puts me.
