Freedom-tan to Battle Censors

freedom-tan-with-pen.png

Tired of the relentless attacks on freedom of expression launched by anti-free speech feminists, anti-censorship group Yes to Freedom has been formed to defend the liberties of artists, and they have just created their new mascot Freedom-tan.

Appropriately enough, she is a schoolgirl…

Is it not ironic that the feminist organisation was created to deal and counter with male domination and predjudice towards women, to give themn equal rites, which of course is correct, but now they feel that they can dictate to others in a manner that they were once dictated to,

The submissive is now the dominant.

I hate cencorship of any kind, if something offends, or you feel it might offend you the answer is quite simple don't watch/read it.....!

Do not however tell others that they can't do so based upon someone elses opinions.

    I will support this campaign.

It's all well and good but some obscure group with an English website on a Netherlands registered domain isn't going to have any political clout in Japan.

Freedom rights are gained politically, with ideology or guns, and most effectively from the inside.

Are you saying that they should give up because they are not in Japan?

They are on the internet for all of the world to see. The amount of "clout" they have will be determined by the number of people who support them, wherever they may be.

Groups like Equality Now do not speak for the majority. They are simply noisier. If the freedom-loving majority will speak up, they will be drowned out.

As proud as I am to be an American and a veteran, we DO NOT own freedom. Any man, woman or child in the world who sees and abhors injustice and wants a better life for themselves and others "owns" freedom.

Freedom is not an object that can be held. It is an idea that grows in the mind and is nurtured in the heart of every right-thinking individual on this planet.

    05:24 21/12/2009 # ! Neutral (0)

I beg to differ. What country, if not America, "owns" freedom? The modern definition of freedom comes entirely from the mouths and concepts of people like Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and Abraham Lincoln. Additionally, 1 country saved the world from losing it's freedom in WW2 (I know many countries fought, but until America came in, the result was in doubt). If anyone can claim ownership of freedom, it's America.

    Comment by Sylar
    10:39 21/12/2009 # ! Neutral (0)

What a nationalist idiot that you are. Actually it's not your fault it's the Hollywood crab they've been feating you.
Do you even know how many countries talk about freedom in there national anthem and fought for freedom that are a lot older than the US? The Greeks were fighting for freedom and invented democracy thousand of years before America was even discovered.
Modern definition of freedom my ass. Wtf is the modern definition exactly? Hell America used to have slaves when a lot of other countries didn't or had stopped years ago.
And stop playing Call of Duty and watching Save Private Ryan because it affects your mind.
Saved the wold during WW2 my ass.Do you even study history? All the people in Europe and Russia gave everything to stop the Nazis. They lost there love ones, there homes they had there whole countries destroyed, lived with out food and in terror and you come to tell them that those were nothing and it was all thanks to the US who decided to help near the end when Hitler was already starting to have his first defeats?
Fuck, you should even feel ashamed. The US smelled the defeat and jumped to take a piece of the winners prize that's all. Do you know what the whole D-day thing was? It was because they wanted to get to Berlin fast before the Russians take the whole Germany? If anyone can claim that he is responsible for the defeat of the Nazis then it's the Russians. But the truth is Hitler would have never won no matter what. Because you can't keep fighting all this countries around you forever. Even when he conquered a country, resistance croups where formed and the fight continued inside the country. It was impossible to keep them all in check. Sooner or later they would have lost.
You USA kids watched so much movies where US saved the world and heard so much nationalistic shit from TV that you really live under the impression that your country is the center of the world.
Even your motto is egoistical. "God bless America" WTF is that? Why only America? What the hell about the rest of the world? Do you even own God now?

Honestly I have not heard anything about UNICEF in years up here in Canada (around Christmas a bit) but otherwise the only people who really care are the ones who have something to gain.
